Where were you when 9/11 happened?

I was just waking up and ready to leave my dorm room for art class at San Diego State University. My roommates had the TV on and we were all in disbelief. I remember calling my mom and telling her that I was still going to class. I remember how quiet the campus was and how long it took me to get to the studio, which of course was empty. I remember staying there and saying a prayer on the outer ledge.

Thanksgiving is just around the corner, and I would like to share what my top three reasons to be thankful for are. Thank you for allowing me to share this with you, and feel free to share what your top three are!

1. Family & Friends.
2. Laughing.
3. Having a Job.

For my wonderful and beautiful wife, she’s amazing and I’m grateful to have her in my life. My brothers and step-dad, my mom, whose the most bravest and strongest woman I’ve ever known, and of course my father, a Navy Veteran. Without my dad I wouldn’t have been able to go to college and work in the creative arena.

For my friends. You already know. heeheehee. I love you guys and gals. For what we deal with on a regular basis in this world, laughing is the best medicine. I’m grateful to have a job, applying my college degree, making businesses grow, and learning and enhancing my craft every single day.
