My web design business is \u201cThatsGravy Designs\u201d, and it comes from my name. \u201cGravy\u201d is my nickname given to me from my teammates in high school sports. I was glad to find that it was the same nickname my father was given while he was in the United States Navy. Awesome! It originates from \u201cthat\u2019s all gravy\u201d in that it communicates the extra toppings and that everything is going to be alright. Perhaps even better than it was before.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cEverything is going to be alright.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n ThatsGravy Designs was founded in San Diego, 2012. The idea came from working at a marketing firm for Real Estate agents. My role was to customize and troubleshoot websites that were based on one of the many templates provided. Clients were impressed with the artistic, graphic interpretation of their branding, and at the speed to which I completed their website.<\/span><\/p>\n Soon, I discovered a need for which businesses wanted custom websites, either customizing or redesigning their current sites. I began by taking many requests for graphic and web design for local San Diego businesses such as Mathewson Electric, the San Diego Black Film Festival, and for Chris Zach (a San Diego musician).<\/span><\/p>\n ThatsGravy Designs ultimately specializes in helping those with personal websites, business owners, and marketing specialists. Web design, graphic design, search engine optimization, troubleshooting, and assistance are many of the services offered and the foundation my business is customer service. I\u2019m in this business because I like to help others. Using the many resources, and with a passion for continued learning, I enjoy applying my skills to solve challenges. Many business owners have faced web designers who, \u201cfell off the face of the earth,\u201d and although I understand that no designer is perfect, I\u2019m certainly not, I enjoy being part of the journey and helping in any way that I can.<\/span><\/p>\n Upon becoming a success, and sticking to my core roots of customer service, ThatsGravy Designs will grow providing ongoing assistance for such businesses: artists, health, Real Estate, attorneys, startup and local businesses, who want to strengthen their online presence. This extends to non-profit organizations in the near future.<\/span><\/p>\n You will receive a WordPress site for updating content, and converting your current web site to the WordPress platform. ThatsGravy Designs also provides assistance and troubleshooting with other CMS systems, and at a regular basis.<\/span><\/p>\n ThatsGravy Designs exists to provide the experience where business owners can trust and rely upon at a regular basis. My clients are not just in San Diego and Southern California, I serve the national and global market! \u201cEverything is going to be alright.\u201d is my slogan for a reason. Prior to being approached, many face issues where things aren\u2019t alright. They can now focus on running their business and not worry about the website.<\/span><\/p>\n At ThatsGravy Designs I treat my growth and development much like the way it\u2019s said about SEO (Search Engine Optimization), it\u2019s \u201ca moving target.\u201d This means I am often applying newly learned techniques, whether that be in SEO, web, or graphic design. When a challenge occurs, \u201cEverything is going to be alright.\u201d (smile) and I find out what the possible solutions are, and then put it to work. As a recovering perfectionist and an artist by default, I run my business by about helping those who hire me and my services, and by sharing my knowledge.<\/span><\/p>\n Life is too short to miss out on what\u2019s in front of us. We\u2019d like to spend our energies in a more positive light, as opposed to losing out on the time spent outside of our knowledge (to which we are unable to get back.)
